A fun, must-have fashion brand established in 1999 by Maryam and Daren Bonar.

This Anglo-Moroccan company focuses on high end accessories and ready to wear items blending North African art with modern fashionable ideas.

We noticed when we first started to visit Marrakesh local artisans lacked consistency in their work, and the quality of materials which were being used were not always up to scratch. There was a great potential in the skill and workmanship that we saw, yet we felt it had to be fused with another mind set. There was a large gap between what our clientele wanted and what was being produced in Morocco. 'Why not mix the best of what both worlds had to offer.

We employ local artisans in our factory and also work with women's groups in and around Marrakesh. It is important in our eyes to give back to the community and to try and keep alive these traditional handmade methods which have been used in Morocco for centuries.

We tend to work with recycled materials when possible as this is another lesson we were taught when we first started to work in Marrakech, nothin goes to waste.

Being a third world society there are a lot of people who are on a very low income therefore nothing seems to go to waste, people are constantly recycling materials to use again. We found this very refreshing when we first came here in 1993 and decided to adopt this way of thinking with the brand whenever possible.

Living in London we were used to a very western materialistic state of mind where people were constantly buying new products or materials when it wasn’t really needed.

All our products are hand made to order.

We create a new collection each season yet we are able to accommodate clients’ tastes if they don’t find what they are looking for.

Changing colours and materials enables us to provide you with a unique EnShalla experience

There are very few brands offering this kind of couture service. Made for you.

We are currently based in Marrakech, yet the brand is British.

We hope you will have as much fun going through our collections and wearing them, as we have had making them.

Regards

Daren and Maryam Bonar
